Sara Selvarajah MA (Oxon) FCA CTA

Senior Tax Manager

Sara is a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser and has worked in the financial services sector, specialising in tax, for more than 15 years.

After qualifying with PwC (Coopers and Lybrand as it was then) she moved as a corporate tax specialist to Salomon Brothers where she worked for 11 years. Her experience with Salomon Brothers covered tax planning for financial products, corporate tax restructuring (domestic and international), corporate finance, VAT and UK corporate tax planning. Sara left Salomon Brothers as Vice President Corporate Tax and worked as an independent consultant to spend more time with her young family. During this period she qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser to broaden her knowledge of UK taxes and advised a range of clients including Citigroup (transfer pricing on derivatives), owner managed businesses (set up, exit planning, international structuring) and individuals (capital gains tax, income tax, inheritance tax).

Sara moved to Throgmorton in November 2010 and is enjoying the challenge of applying her knowledge and experience to the firm's diverse and dynamic client portfolio covering UK and international tax issues.
