Yvonne Pownall
HR Manager
Yvonne is a member of the Human Resources Department with a strong generalist HR background.
Prior to joining Throgmorton she spent 20 years working in the legal sector; firstly as a paralegal with a leading regional law firm based in Reading and then the last 10 years were spent working for a leading national law firm. Yvonne held the post of department manager, managing 40+ staff, before transferring to a role within HR. She went on to hold the post of HR Manager, Basingstoke, for several years before then taking on the role of HR Business Manager, Thames Valley, where she was responsible for the HR of over 120+ staff. During this time Yvonne gained a wealth of experience in managing employee relations and implementing HR procedures and she is now enjoying sharing her knowledge and experience with Throgmorton’s clients.
Outside of work Yvonne enjoys spending time socialising with her family and friends, which usually involves her favourite pastime of dining out. She also helps out at a local young person’s performing arts charity, Starmaker, where she assists with chaperoning (bossily!) and stage make-up (messily!).
