Health and Safety - Satisfying insurance requirements

Knowing of our expertise in the Health and Safety field, a client approached us with a pressing requirement.

Their insurance company had visited their business premises, and informed the company that their Employers Liability Insurance could not be renewed without a number of issues being addressed. Detailed risk assessments would be needed, and new procedures put in place, if the company was to comply.
 
Throgmorton was able to provide detailed policies and procedures relating to all Health and Safety matters within an office environment – and then set to work on a programme of comprehensive risk assessments. These included fire, general office and the DSE assessment for all VDU users.

Importantly, we provided training in VDU assessments to an appointed person within the company. We also helped the company to obtain first aid training for its designated employees.

With the insurance company satisfied, the client was able to obtain the necessary certificates to fulfil its obligations.
