Maintaining group structure charts - no ordinary task

Maintaining any company’s structure chart can be an onerous task. But when that company is a PLC with hundreds of subsidiaries then this becomes a major administrative undertaking.

Our client, a FTSE 250 company, used Throgmorton to ease this particular burden.

Assigned to produce the charts on a frequent basis, we maintain a database of email contacts for each subsidiary to ensure that we have up-to-date information in advance of each compilation.

The chart documents are extensive, and include a written summary of all companies added and deleted, and those companies which have undergone shareholding, name and status changes. We provide a document which breaks down into diagrammatic schedules each part of the structure, and a full index of all companies by page number.

To help visually, we also create a wallchart to provide a view of the whole group structure on one large sheet.

Company Secretariat, Throgmorton: “This is one of those immense administrative jobs for which outsourcing is made. The key for us is being extremely organised, and knowing the client company inside-out.”
